Suitable for Volkswagen Jetta fuel pressure switch sensor 51CP06-04
Product introduction
The throttle of the engine car is controlled by the driver through the accelerator pedal to change the air intake of the engine, thus controlling the operation of the engine. Different automobile throttle opening marks different operating conditions of the engine.
Detection of throttle position sensor with linear variable resistance output
(1) Structure and circuit
The linear variable resistance throttle position sensor is a linear potentiometer, and the sliding contact of the potentiometer is driven by the throttle shaft.
Under different throttle opening, the resistance of potentiometer is also different, thus converting throttle opening into voltage signal and sending it to ECU. Through the throttle position sensor, ECU can obtain continuously changing voltage signals representing all opening angles of the throttle from fully closed to fully open, and the change rate of the throttle opening, so as to judge the operating conditions of the engine more accurately. Generally, in this throttle position sensor, there is also an idle contact IDL to judge the idle working condition of the engine. .
(2) Inspection and adjustment of linear variable resistance throttle position sensor
① Detecting the continuity of idle contact Turn the ignition switch to the "OFF" position, unplug the wire connector of the throttle position sensor, and measure the continuity of idle contact IDL on the throttle position sensor connector with a multimeter Ω. When the throttle valve is fully closed, the IDL-E2 terminals should be connected (resistance is 0); When the throttle is open, there should be no conduction between IDL-E2 terminals (resistance is ∞). Otherwise, replace the throttle position sensor.
② Measure the resistance of linear potentiometer.
Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, unplug the wire connector of the throttle position sensor, and measure the resistance of the linear potentiometer with the Ω range of the multimeter, which should increase linearly with the increase of the throttle opening.
