When choosing a pressure sensor, we should consider its comprehensive accuracy, and what aspects affect the accuracy of the pressure sensor? In fact, there are many factors that cause sensor errors. Let's pay attention to four unavoidable errors, which are the initial errors of the sensor.

First of all, offset error: Because the vertical offset of the pressure sensor remains constant in the whole pressure range, the variation of transducer diffusion and laser adjustment and correction will produce offset error.

Secondly, the sensitivity error: the error is proportional to the pressure. If the sensitivity of the equipment is higher than the typical value, the sensitivity error will be an increasing function of the pressure. If the sensitivity is lower than the typical value, the sensitivity error will be a decreasing function of the pressure. The reason for this error lies in the change of diffusion process.

The third is linearity error: this is a factor that has little influence on the initial error of the pressure sensor, which is caused by the physical nonlinearity of the silicon wafer, but for the sensor with amplifier, it should also include the nonlinearity of the amplifier. The linear error curve can be concave or convex.

Finally, the hysteresis error: in most cases, the hysteresis error of the pressure sensor can be completely ignored, because the silicon wafer has high mechanical stiffness. Generally, it is only necessary to consider the lag error when the pressure changes greatly.

These four errors of the pressure sensor are inevitable. We can only choose high-precision production equipment and use high technology to reduce these errors. We can also calibrate some errors when leaving the factory to reduce the errors as much as possible to meet the needs of customers.
