The synchronization of the shunt collector valve is speed synchronization, that is, when two or more cylinders are subjected to different loads, the shunt collector valve automatically adjusts through the internal pressure and flow sensitive parts to keep the cylinder movement synchronized.

Diverter valve according to the adjustment mode is divided into: fixed diverter valve, adjustable diverter valve and self-regulating diverter valve. The fixed structure synchronous valve can be divided into two kinds of structure: reversing piston type and hook type. According to the flow distribution mode, the diverter collector can also be divided into: equal flow type and proportional flow type, proportional flow is often used 2:1 flow distribution mode.

The shunt collector valve is mainly used in hydraulic double cylinder and multi-cylinder synchronous control system. There are many ways to realize synchronous movement, but the synchronous control hydraulic system using the diverter valve has many advantages such as simple structure, low cost, design, complete set, easy debugging and use, and strong reliability, so the diverter valve has been widely used in the hydraulic system.
