How to check and measure the electromagnetic coil?
If the electromagnetic coil is unqualified in quality or improperly used, it will have a serious impact on the whole equipment. It is very important to check and measure the product when selecting and using it. How to check and measure it? You may wish to see the following introduction.
(1) When selecting and using the coil
we should first consider the inspection and measurement of the coil, and then judge the quality of the coil. In order to accurately check the quality of the coil, special instruments are often used, and the specific testing method is more complicated.
In practical work, generally only the on-off inspection of the coil and the judgment of Q value are carried out. When measuring, the resistance of the coil should be measured with a multimeter, and the monitored value is compared with the original determined resistance or nominal resistance, so that we can know whether the coil can be used normally.
(2) Before installing the coil, check the appearance.
Before use, it is also necessary to check the coil, mainly to check whether there are defects in appearance, whether there are loose turns, whether the coil structure is firm, whether the magnetic core rotates flexibly, whether there are sliding buttons, etc., all of which need to be checked before installation, and coils with unqualified inspection results cannot be used.
(3) The coil needs to be fine-tuned
and the method should be considered when fine-tuning. During the use of some coils, fine adjustment is needed, because it is difficult to change the number of coils, and fine adjustment is much easier to operate.
For example, the single-layer coil can move the difficult coil through the node, that is, it is wound 3~4 times in advance at one end of the coil, and the inductance is changed by fine-tuning the position. Practice has proved that this method can fine-tune the inductance of 2%-3%.
For short-wave and ultrashort-wave coils, generally, half a turn is left for fine adjustment. Whether rotating or moving this half turn will change the inductance and achieve the purpose of fine adjustment.
For multi-layer segmented coils, if fine adjustment is needed, the number of segmented coils that can be moved can be controlled at 20%-30% of the total number of circles by moving the relative distance of one segment. After this fine adjustment, the influence of inductance can reach 10%-15%.
For the coil with magnetic core, we can achieve the purpose of fine adjustment by adjusting the position of the magnetic core in the coil tube.
(4) When using the coil
the inductance of the original coil should be maintained. Especially for explosion-proof coils, the shape, size and distance between coils should not be changed at will, otherwise the original inductance of the coils will be affected. Generally, the higher the frequency, the fewer coils.
