However, the reactance of the coil of AC relay is small, and the current is large. Connecting DC will damage the coil.
2. There will be a short circuit ring on the iron core of AC contactor, but not DC contactor. The wire diameter of DC coil is thin, because its current is equal to U/R, and it does not change. The wire diameter of AC coil is thick, because the coil has inductance, and the current changes greatly before and after the armature is attracted.
